Josh Green
Vice President, Distribution
Green currently serves as the VP, Distribution for NY-based Emerging Pictures. Green is responsible for securing new exhibition venues for Emerging’s digital cinema network, now at more than 65 locations in the US, and managing marketing efforts for the network. Green further coordinates the distribution campaigns for exclusive HD programming playing at EP venues including independent and classic films, cultural programs like operas and ballets, and other special events.
During Emerging’s early years when the company engaged in the representation business, Green acted as a sales agent/producer’s rep to secure third party distribution for completed films. Green also managed Emerging’s for-hire theatrical distribution business while it was in existence, coordinating campaigns for films including John Sayles’ “Honeydripper;” “Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding,” based on the smash Off Broadway hit; “Vanaja,” Rajnesh Domalpalli’s award winning coming of age drama; Warner Home Video’s psychological drama “Laura Smiles” and Chinese American dysfunctional family comedy, “Red Doors.” All in, Green has had an agency or direct distribution role on more than 50 films. As far as Green’s producorial activities, he associate produced Sona Jain’s “For Real” and Ann Hu’s “Beauty Remains.” He recently executive produced Kief Davidson’s acclaimed IFC Films documentary “Kassim the Dream” released in 2009.
Green is a frequent speaker at film industry panels, workshops and other festival events. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, and an undergraduate degree from Cornell University.
