THE BLOCK
A story of faith in Gaza
Award winning photojournalist Shaul Schwarz returns
from New York to his homeland to live among settlers for the last ninety
days of 'Gush Katif', the "Block" of Jewish settlements in the Gaza
strip that was evacuated and destroyed by Israel on August 2005.
The film tells four
stories reflecting the spectrum of the settlers from radicals to
moderates, young to old. The filmmakers encounters with the settlers
and their struggle to keep on living, challenged by an inevitable end
presents an incredible story of faith versus denial.
